“Deepfake” debate heats up! Timing is suspect! – SD Senator Liz Larson previously behind unconstitutional bill SB96

Interesting timing on California “deepfake” measures… the reaction of Gov Newsome is being directly linked to the ongoing investigation in the P Diddy case, where there are rumors the fallout will decimate Hollywood and the Music industry with many involved in the abuse that took place over the past 30 years.

A federal judge blocked California’s law that aimed to restrict deepfakes related to elections, ruling it unconstitutional under the First Amendment. The law sought to prohibit the distribution of misleading or altered media (deepfakes) within 60 days of an election, fearing their potential to spread disinformation. However, the judge ruled that the law infringed on free speech protections, even though it was designed to prevent voter deception. The decision highlighted the tension between combating misinformation and protecting freedom of expression.

South Dakota’s version of California’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL bill restricting deep fakes related to elections was SB96 brought by Senator Liz Larson. This bill amounted to unconstitutional suppression of political speech.
The series of election bills brought in the 2024 session such as SB20 & SB96 most likely originated in Washington DC and were presented in state legislatures all across the country.
Why are South Dakota legislators pushing bills handed down by a weaponized government that are in clear violation of the constitution?

Senator Liz Larson – remind us again, what was it you swore an oath to protect and defend?

I was editing it while I got the notification of this post from SD Canvassing. I discover how Larson was funded in 2023 by The Majority Project which received donations from PACS directly connected to the carbon pipeline company and by a PAC funded by the founder of Summit Carbon himself. On top of that, I found a PAC that donated to one of these registered democrats also donates to rinos in the republican party, as well as more out-of-state organizations donating to these candidates, like organizations based in DC that say they target red states! Why are out-of-state pacs/orgs interested in who’s running in SD?
