Now that the 2025 SD legislative session is over, battle weary Patriots all across South Dakota can sit back and chill for a while, ruminating on the hard won victories, and struggle to digest the sour taste of the defeats at the hands of our supposed fellow “Republicans”, aka TransRepublicans.
After all, there is much to celebrate, and many tireless warriors to thank, both paid and unpaid alike; too numerous to list here. We all are part of the vast quilt of individual grassroots subgroups that are active in SD. I have written about this issue before here in my “AVENGERS” post (click) https://open.substack.com/pub/cjlarson/p/the-avengers?r=b7ypx&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
…in which I expressed my desire to see all of the groups come together in solidarity in order to more effectively achieve their own unique goals, and also – and most importantly – to gain access to the higher levers of Power in our state to ensure that The People have a voice in our own governance.
After we rest, this must be our focus moving forward.
But we can’t do that, can we? We can’t go back. We’ve come too far, seen too much, & drunk deeply from the victory jug.
The past 5 years of our evolution from Normies to Dissidents to the Patriot status that we enjoy now have demonstrated to the Establishment that we are a force to be reckoned with. 18 months ago I wrote my first political article ever after witnessing the gross display of arrogance and condescension that was shown to our duly elected Minnehaha county Auditor Leah Anderson and some concerned citizens who showed up to speak, by a few self-important apparatchiks on the County Commission. Joe Kippley, a young and ambitious TransRepublican, made very clear his views that anyone who had questions about the goings on in the 2020 elections was a genuine KOOK. This hubris made me very angry.
To those of us who kicked and screamed our way through the Great Propaganda Wars of the covid era did not come by our election skepticism cheaply. In fact, every single smart, successful hardworking taxpayer that I know – and I know a lot of them across the country – did not and do not believe that Joe Biden ACTUALLY received more votes in Nov 2020. Our BS Detectors didn’t break during the Propaganda Wars, they got more powerful, and finely tuned. None of us will be forgetting the time that the most powerful person on the planet, our “Resident”, directly threatened over 1/3 of his own citizens for refusing to get injected with an experimental untested Pharma money-maker.
“Our patience is wearing thin”
You are the Whack a Doodle, Lee Schoenbeck, for stupidly and corruptly accepting the status quo of our insecure election systems, the attacks on our private property rights by greedy corporations, the constant stealing of taxpayer monies for E.D. scams, the unimaginable perversions of our children, the constant degradation of our institutions, embracing the Woke Mind Virus, and the blatant attempts by out-of-state actors to California our South Dakota.

Vagrant seen lurking around the Capitol last month
We may forgive all of the people who did this to us, if they ask and repent. But we will never forget how they treated us like cattle, and we must never allow ourselves to BE treated like cattle.
FROM DISSIDENTS TO RULERS
Friends, it is time to take responsibility for our local governments; time to take them over, influence them and be a part of the process.
It’s time to have more Patriot mayors, more Patriot county commissioners, more Patriot school board members – heck, ANY Patriot school board members! – more Patriot Auditors, more Patriot Chairs of the Chamber, more Patriot everything.
A Patriot governor.
IMAGINE.
I guess what I’m getting at is, it’s time to lose the bunker mentality. We aren’t the rebels, we’re The People. And by & large we are The People that make this country great. We work, we build, we serve, we obey the law, we pay our taxes, and we help our neighbors.
We are a Constituency to be reckoned with, and respected.
To make this a reality though, we must move on from past feuds, turf wars, and selfish ambition. I know there are people that wounded each other during the recent skirmishes of the election & then the legislative session. I have spoken with some of you, and I know it still hurts. Friendships got damaged, or worse.
We must try to offer forgiveness and grace, as we have been offered these gifts by our Lord & Savior. None of us are sinless, none too good to forgive.
As someone who occasionally indulges in some good healthy name-calling, I am coming to the point where these tools/weapons may not be useful, at least for a while. Names, labels, memes are all helpful shorthand language that aids in our ability to make sense of the insanity that we have been cooking in these past several years. Instead of endlessly wondering/complaining why a particular “Republican” votes against every conservative bill that comes along, it’s just easier to say “Oh, they’re just being a TransRepublican, as usual”; so that we can better understand them and not waste any emotional energy trying to change their “minds”. But even I am starting to see that sometimes there is diminishing returns on lambasting my opponents at will and often. A spear makes for a poor shovel.
Now is the time to unite the Patriots, and exert power and influence.
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up”
- Ecclesiastes 3:1-3
INTEGRITY
And to those of us who will be watching from the sidelines, let us be vigilant in holding our friends and allies to the same standard that we held their predecessor to.
I’ve hammered SF mayor Paul TenHaken quite a lot this past year, for his tone deaf proclamations, Woke infection and being so obviously captured by the E.D. mania. Many people I have spoken with about Paul say the same thing, with sadness: “He didn’t used to be like this”. Well, Paul’s friends are partly to blame here, for allowing him to be swayed by the siren song of the Powerful. Paul, like Kristi and Mike and John and Dusty, all started out with a gleam in their eye and a dream of being a hero to The People.
We need new heroes.
